PHOTOS: Independence Day in Costa Rica

During Independence Day in Costa Rica many festivities are going on in the country and the rest of Central America. Costa Rican towns, small and big, typically celebrate this day with parades accompanied by a lot of rumbling, especially drums and xylophones.

Kids sing their anthem as they dance with their entire class, in their school uniforms, throughout the streets of their hometown, while sipping up bags of liquid on order to fight away the heath. Here’s the impression of last National Day’s parade, in Puerto Limón!
