PHOTOS: Swiss winter wonderland galore

Like last year I created a little gallery of our week in the Swiss snow, residing in the area of Les Quatre Vallées – one of the biggest ski areas in the country. This area includes Nendaz, Vervier, Veysonnaz and La Tzoumaz and has the Mont Fort as its highest point (3,328 m / 10,919 ft). We spent our last days of the decade with family in here. 

How’s life at 3328 meters above sea level? Pretty peaceful. Apart from the view of dramatically carved mountains like the Matterhorn in the south (the ‘Berg der Berge’) the only thing you may hear is the crackling ice under your feet.
