PHOTOS: A pastel perfect day in Granada, Nicaragua

Due to its tempting colonial buildings, Granada is nowadays a popular hot spot for a relaxed stay in Nicaragua. Its vivid colours brighten the mood. While there, make your way slowly through the lolly-hued streets and watch life as it goes by in this ultimate romantic city.

Don’t know where to start? Have breakfast at Café de las Sonrisas or take out a chocolate croissant at Panaderia Artesanal. Buy a book at Lucha Libro Books or some chocolates at Casa del Chocolate. Gobble up a terrific ice-cream at Montebianco Gelateria. Sip that coffee, buy gifts, have a lunch or hang in a hammock at The Garden Café. Cool down during a swim in one of the hotel patio pools. Climb the stairs of a church during sunset and enjoy golden hour from above. Have a bebida and a perfect snack platter at Café de los Sueños. And ultimately round up your day with a flor de caña at the Calle la Calzada. Voilà, there’s your recipe for a perfect day.
