When I returned from Nicaragua many people asked me which town I liked better: Granada or León. A difficult decision, especially if you have to opt between the two on your trip. Léon has a natural charm, the city is very vibrant and it doesn’t try too hard to be the most beautiful of them all. Maybe that’s what makes a stay in here so relaxed, though it can be dazzling hot and dirty in the narrow streets too (check out the nearby beach!). Granada is much more pleasant in the sense of comfort; everything if neat, picture perfect and arranged. But if I had to live in one of the two, it would be León, because I’d feel less of a tourist in here and more a part of the city. But for visiting I’d say; compare for yourself!
